Although nominally a new entity, established as a Connecticut corporation in 2007, OnStat Power, Inc. can trace it’s lineage to 1985 and earlier.

In the early days of the current trend to allow ambulatory medical procedures to be performed in Office-Based Surgery Centers, Medicanix Medical Equipment Repair Co. () was active in the New York City metropolitan area providing expert engineering and design assistance to surgeons establishing their own Surgical Suites and attain the required Certifications. To this end, a manufacturing division was established called MEDI+Products (), who began producing custom-configured Emergency Power Supply system also known as uninterruptable power supply system to meet this new need.

The REASSURANCE™ was introduced by MEDI+Products in 1989 and continues in production to the present time. The REASSURANCE™ utilized the newly-developing power inversion technology based on the invention of the FET (Field Effect Transistor) which made reliable, compact, and efficient conversion of battery-stored energy to 120 volt, 60 cycle power. The REASSURANCE™ is a mobile, self-contained power generator housed in a stainless steel cabinet.

In 2007 MEDI+Products introduced the SILENT SENTRY™. This new model, while still serving the Ambulatory Surgical market, introduced the “Uninterruptable Subpanel” design concept and also space-saving features which have resulted in a Patent Application.

In 2008 the decision was made to introduce the SILENT SENTRY’S™ “Uninterruptable Subpanel” design concept to the general commercial markets.
